Offline Berlin was a congress for future-fit theatre. On an island near Berlin, the participants rehearsed together for the not too distant moment when theatre as we know it will cease to function: In which spaces would it still be able to take place when the cities are deserted? What would happen to the theatre technology if the central energy supplies collapsed? What might a theatre look like that does justice to these new realities - in terms of content, aesthetics and practice? With a programme of readings, lectures, screenings, workshops, DIY merch and breaks for bathing in the lake.
